I qualified as an Acupuncturist in 1989 at the British College of Acupuncture in London, and completed a Clinical  Studies course at the Red Cross Hospital, Hangzhou, Zheijiang Province in 1993. In 2005, I finished my Diploma in Chinese Herbal Medicine at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading.

I have worked for several years in private clinics across the North East practising General Medicine and in addition from 1991 until 1999, joined the Chronic Pain Team in the Department of Anaesthetics at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.  I also completed courses in Counselling Skills from Aberdeen University during this time.

I presently continue to work in the areas of general medicine, musculoskeletal conditions, chronic pain, gynaecology and infertility, using both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs.
